Ike bought this 1974 crew cab Chevrolet Nova with a 350 cubic inch small block V8. He bought the car from an auction for $800. The car had clearly been sitting for years- the registration sticker on the windshield indicates it was last on the road in 1998, meaning this car has been off the road for 22 years. In today's episode we get invited to a high performance driving event called Motorsports 4 the Masses, so we're preparing the Nova to drive 250 miles to the track!

'cause they be a shittin and gettin! put some better rubber, disc brakes in front, headers, and a 750 cfm 4 bbl. carb and you'll have a nice little sleeper there fairly cheap. aka, a grocery getter with get up and go!

Hey believe it or not the guys at motor trend and roadkill actually tested different intake methods and flipping the lid like that actually did improve flow and gained a few ponies under the hood probably only 1 or 2 hp but still every little bit counts lol. The best intake they found was just an old metal fruit bowl out of the kitchen they cut the bottom out of and stuck it on with no filter at all and that did better even compared against the Holley intakes and filters or edelbrock intakes
